Frequently Asked Questions

Do you see clients online or in-person?

We see clients via Telehealth counseling by video or phone for anyone in the state of Colorado. All of our sessions together will happen online through a private, HIPAA-compliant video platform that is user-friendly; we do not offer in-person sessions. Meeting online provides you the freedom and flexibility to meet for our therapy sessions from the comfort of our own spaces, without the need to commute, sit in traffic, get to an office, etc. Generally speaking, sessions occur Monday through Friday during the daytime. Availability may change slightly from week to week and varies depending on the therapist's individual schedules. Please talk directly with your therapist to find out their up-to-date availability.

Do you work with couples or children?

We see adult clients 18+ and families. Stephanie is able to see children ages 12+. We do not currently work with couples in our practice.

How much do therapy sessions cost?

Currently, our basic session fee is $160 for a 50-minute session for individual therapy. Our basic session fee is $190 for a 50-minute session for family therapy. Pro-rated fees are offered for 25-minute and 75-minute sessions. Credit and Debit cards are acceptable forms of payment. We can also accept your HSA or Flexible Spending cards. We do not accept cash or checks.

How often should I come to therapy sessions?

In the beginning, we recommend meeting weekly so that we can establish trust, create a strong therapeutic relationship, lay the groundwork for effective treatment, and build momentum towards change. Then, we can shift to meeting every other week or monthly sessions as you begin experiencing relief from your initial concerns. Together, we can create a schedule for ongoing support in order to maintain what is best and fits your needs.

Do you accept health insurance?

We do not accept health insurance and are considered out-of-network providers for insurance companies. If you would like to seek potential reimbursement from your insurance company, we can provide you with a monthly or quarterly Superbill (receipt of services) that you may submit to your insurance company. Many clients find this route beneficial, and we are happy to further discuss this with you.

What if I have to reschedule or cancel an appointment?

We understand that life happens and things come up, so you can reschedule or cancel your appointment with at least 24 hours notice. If you reschedule or cancel in under 24 hours notice, you will be charged the full session fee. Please give your therapist as much notice as possible.

How long does it take? How long will I be in therapy?

Great question. The length of therapy varies depending on your individual needs. Ultimately, therapy is a process that unfolds over time. Therapy goals can change with the ebb and flow of life and how we as individuals learn and adapt. Some concerns that initially bring you to therapy may be resolved and addressed quickly, while others will take more time to uncover and work through (think more of a marathon, less of a sprint). Our client support has varied from months to continued support over years. We will connect with you while working towards achieving your therapy goals and developing the tools you need to create greater balance in your life.
